Two Fit Birds
Heather Derbyshire:
Heather is 28 years old and has lived in the South Manchester town of Stockport all her life, attending Harrytown High School where she was voted Sportswoman of the Year in 1995. During her school years, Heather threw the javelin for the National Athletics Squad until her promising athletics career was cut short when she was injured at just 17. After completing her A Levels at Aquinas College, Heather qualified as a Personal Trainer and founded her own wellness company, In 2 Fitness.
Heather’s life mantra:
“Never judge a person until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes, after that it doesn’t matter because they’re a mile away and you’ve got their shoes...”
Karen Fingerhut:
Karen is 37 years old and her childhood was spent in North Manchester where she attended the King David High School in Crumpsall. South Manchester has been her home for the last 10 years. Karen is a Housing Reports Consultant working with a range of Housing Associations and Local Authorities. In her spare time Karen is a keen member of her local gym and particularly enjoys running and cycling.
